William S. Burtnett, M.D., is a hospital medicine physician with Norton Hospitalists. Dr. Burtnett earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Burtnett's primary focus is on patients who have been admitted to the hospital. He collaborates with other health care professionals to manage acute medical conditions, initiate treatment plans and ensure comprehensive care. His goal is to guide patients toward recovery while addressing their unique needs and concerns. In his spare time, Dr. Burtnett enjoys cooking and outdoor cycling, as he believes diet and exercise are vital to staying healthy.
