Ryan A Bricknell, MD

Ryan A. Bricknell, M.D., is a hospital medicine physician with Norton Hospitalists. Dr. Bricknell earned his medical degree from Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Miami. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, and currently is completing a fellowship in general cardiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Bricknell collaborates closely with other health care professionals and plays a crucial role in managing patients during their hospital stay to ensures they receive attentive, personalized care. She believes in treating the whole patient, considering emotional well-being, cultural background and individual preferences beyond a patient’s symptoms and diagnoses. Compassion, empathy and effective communication are at the core of his practice, and he enjoys collaborating with patients, working together to enhance their well-being and quality of life.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Bricknell explores the world through travel, plays chess, enjoys reading to stay informed about current events, and cheers for his favorite sports teams: the Giants, Niners and Warriors.
