Rebecca M. Leavitt, M.D., is an emergency medicine physician with the Norton Healthcare Emergency Medicine Department. Dr. Leavitt earned her medical degree from the National University of Ireland School of Medicine, Galway. She completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Louisville and Glasgow Family Medicine Residency, and a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Louisville. She is board certified in emergency medicine and family medicine. Dr. Leavitt is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients in fast-paced and high-acuity settings. With experience across emergency and primary care disciplines, she brings a broad and integrative perspective to patient care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Leavitt enjoys running, writing, reading and spending quiet time at home with her cat.
