Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Dr. R. John Ellis, Jr., M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics. He joined E&B in 1983 and specializes in sports injuries and general orthopaedics. He has served as Head Team Orthopaedic Physician for the University of Louisville men’s basketball team and as a clinical instructor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. A graduate of the University of Louisville, he completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma.
