Mladen Djurasovic, MD

The doctor's clinical notes list items that were never discussed with me. It mentions placing screws in my back. We never had this discussion. The doctor stated that an epidural would not be possible for me yet he list different in his clinical notes. He acted like I refused it. He did similar things in his clinical notes from our first appointment, but not to the severity as he did this time. I felt like my appointment was rushed, and that he did not review any of my questions and concerns that the nurse put in the computer. He did not discuss any other options for pain medication. He also stated in his notes that physical therapy did not help me, and that is a lie. I went to physical therapy four times. I had one bad experience in physical therapy where I could not walk on my own for four days. This did not seem to be a concern for him. Physical therapy has in fact helped me, and I am able to do most of the physical therapy exercises at home. I was also not informed that I would have to have x-rays. In fact, I Was asked to fill out a form stating that I was not pregnant listing my last menstrual cycle. I questioned this and was told that every woman had to fill it out starting at the age of nine. I did receive a text saying my appointment had been moved back to 245 then I received another text saying I was supposed to have an UP RAD. I questioned this and was told I was to have an x-ray. Everything seemed very unorganized. I am strongly debating on finding another doctor after all of this.

Dr DJ has great bedside manners. Discusses thoroughly my condition and our plan and any questions.

I have been seeing Dr Djurasovic since before The Leatherman Spine Center merged with Norton's and back when he was a new provider at the clinic. I believe I started seeing him in 05/06 and he did my first surgery on my back in 2012. He's never pushed surgery on me, he's always allowed me to be apart of my treatment plan and he has the absolute best bedside manner! Anytime anyone asks for a back surgeon, I always refer them to him! His staff all love working for him and the nurses in the hospital love him as well! I am a retired nurse so I know if he has the respect of his staff and the hospital staff then he truly is the best! I will continue to see him until he decides to retire!
