Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Dr. Matthew R. Price, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon practicing at Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics. Dr. Price specializes in minimally invasive hip and knee replacements, hip arthroscopy, joint revisions, and gluteus medius repair. He joined Ellis & Badenhausen in 2010 and founded its outpatient total joint replacement program in 2014. As the region’s first physician to complete a Hip Preservation Fellowship under Dr. Thomas Byrd at Vanderbilt, he uses advanced techniques for faster recovery. Dr. Price trains fellows annually and frequently teaches and lectures nationally on joint reconstruction.
