Marika Foteni-Antimisiaris, M.D., is a neurologist and epileptologist with Norton Neuroscience Institute. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, and her epilepsy fellowship at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. She is board certified in neurology and epilepsy.
Dr. Antimisiaris specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, with advanced expertise in managing seizures that are difficult to control. She provides individualized care that includes medication management as well as evaluation for advanced treatment options, such as surgery or neurostimulation devices. She has a special clinical interest in the management of epilepsy in women, with a focus on how hormonal changes, pregnancy and other life stages can impact seizure control and treatment planning.
