Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Makenzie T. Schembari, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Cancer Institute. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bellarmine University in Louisville.
Makenzie started her nursing career at Norton Healthcare in the student nurse apprenticeship program. She pursued her love of oncology nursing at Norton Hospital in the oncology transitional care and intensive care units. While in school for her master’s degree she worked in the operating room at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
In her free time, Makenzie enjoys traveling, hiking, fishing and spending time with her husband, family, friends, cats and corgi.
