Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Lucia Rivera Matos, M.D., is a hospital medicine physician with Norton Hospitalists. Dr. Rivera obtained her bachelor’s degree from University of Puerto Rico, then completed medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico she then moved to Chicago to complete her Internal Medicine residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. After finishing Internal Year, I did a year of Transplant Hepatology at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Rivera’s care philosophy as a provider is to do for her patients what she would expect for her family members.
In her free time Dr. Rivera enjoys CrossFit, the beach, and spending time with her friends.
