Kathy J. Thomas, M.D., is a hospital medicine physician with Norton Hospitalists. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine. As a hospitalist, Dr. Thomas treats all types of medical issues for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Her experience in office practice prior to working on the inpatient side gives her a unique perspective on caring for the total person. Her motto is "treating patients the way I'd want my family to be treated." Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Louisville. She knew she wanted to be a doctor at age 3 while tending to her grandmother's illnesses. She is an avid Barbie doll collector and has a Barbie room in her home.
