Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Katherine L. Rider, PA-C, is a physician assistant with Norton Orthopedic Institute. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Sullivan University in Louisville. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Katherine provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Working closely with the physician team, Katherine provides pre- and post-operative care and assists in procedures, including total hip and knee replacements. In the clinic setting, she evaluates and treats patients independently, using evidence-based approaches such as joint injections, rehabilitation strategies and other conservative treatments to manage conditions such as hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Katherine is committed to delivering patient-centered care rooted in compassion, respect and clear communication. Her focus on improving mobility, reducing pain and helping patients return to their daily activities. She takes time to ensure patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, helping them feel confident and supported throughout their care journey.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks with her daughter, Charlie, and participating in her book club.
