About Katana M Ratliff

Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Katana M. Ratliff, APRN, CNM, is a nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife with Norton Women’s Care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville School of Nursing, and her master’s degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky. She later earned certification as nurse midwife.

Katana’s nursing experience includes caring for women and their families as a labor and delivery, antepartum and delivery team nurse, and as a certified nurse midwife providing maternity and gynecologic care.

She strives to deliver safe, unbiased, evidence-based care through shared decision-making, and to support each person’s individual health needs. She aims to provide safe and respectful care throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and to offer high-quality women’s health care to the community.

Outside of work, Katana is passionate about women’s health and continues her education in many areas. She enjoys spending time with her family and loved ones, listening to live music, attending concerts and festivals, exploring Louisville’s restaurant scene, and working on home projects.
