John Dickens, M.D., MBA, is an emergency medicine physician with the Norton Healthcare Emergency Medicine Department. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisville College of Business.

Dr. Dickens provides care for patients of all ages who are experiencing acute illness or injury. He is committed to providing safe, timely and evidence-based care while ensuring that patients feel supported during what often can be a stressful experience. In addition to his clinical work, he is interested in healthcare information technology and the role it plays in improving patient care and health system efficiency.

Outside of work, Dr. Dickens enjoys running, hiking and spending time with his family.
