Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Emily has spent five years as a bedside nurse in a cardiovascular intensive care unit at an academic medical center prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. During that time she cared for critically ill cardiology patients and cardiothoracic surgical patients. Emily also spent time as an ECMO specialist who is designated to manage ECMO circuits being used on patients. Her goal in providing care to patients is to look at each person individually to ensure that she manages them with a wholistic approach.
