About Elvis Joseph
Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Elvis Joseph, M.D., is an emergency medicine physician with the Norton Healthcare Emergency Medicine Department. Dr. Joseph earned his medical degree from the UofL School of Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Joseph provides care for patients of all ages during some of the most critical moments in their lives. He specializes in the rapid diagnosis and stabilization of medical, surgical and traumatic emergencies, with experience managing conditions such as cardiac events, respiratory distress, stroke, sepsis, pediatric emergencies and trauma. He is committed to evidence-based, compassionate care and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and optimal outcomes for every patient.
Dr. Joseph’s patient care philosophy centers on treating each person with respect, empathy and clinical excellence. He strives to create a sense of calm and clarity in the emergency department, helping patients and families feel heard and supported.
Outside of work, Dr. Joseph enjoys staying active through running and hiking. He also loves traveling, exploring new cultures, and reading a wide range of topics — from fiction to history — that expand his perspective and enrich his approach to patient care.
