Eliza P Truwit, APRN

Eliza P. Truwit, APRN, is an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonary medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and her master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Eliza provides care for patients with a wide range of chronic lung conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary fibrosis, with a focus on improving overall quality of life. She collaborates closely with patients to educate them about their condition, evaluate treatment options, and develop individualized care plans that support long-term health and well-being.

With extensive experience in critical care nursing, Eliza is especially equipped to support patients navigating ongoing physical and cognitive challenges following hospitalization or intensive care. Her patient care philosophy emphasizes empowerment, education and partnership to help patients manage their pulmonary health effectively.

Outside of work, Eliza enjoys gardening, hiking and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, and their dog.
