Derrick E Tobias, MD

Derrick E. Tobias, M.D., is a hospital medicine physician with Norton Hospitalists. He earned his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten, and completed his internal medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in internal medicine.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Tobias provides care to patients who are hospitalized and coordinates their care with other specialists and hospital staff members. His goal as a provider is to always do what is right for the patient.

He was born and raised in Louisville. He was drawn to the health care field at an early age because both of his parents were well-accomplished physicians in Louisville.

When Dr. Tobias is not caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys golf, basketball and going on family vacations.
