About David A Robertson

Biography/ Philosophy of Care

David A. Robertson, M.D., is a neurologist and neuroimmunologist with Norton Neuroscience Institute. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, and completed his internship and residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Robertson’s approach to medicine is best described as “integrative neurology,” which includes comprehensive care, multidisciplinary resources and empowering the individual to improve patients’ quality of life. He strives to foster a strong relationship with his patients, their families and their team of health care and wellness providers. Dr. Robertson is expanding neurological care to adults with physical and intellectual disabilities as they transition out of child neurology care.

As a general neurologist, Dr. Robertson provides care for pediatric and adult patients with neurologic conditions. In the field of neuroimmunology, he works with patients who have multiple sclerosis and other complex neurologic conditions. He joined the Norton Neuroscience Institute Hussung Family Multiple Sclerosis Center because clinical services and support resources are consistent with the integrative neurology approach to medicine.

Dr. Robertson is originally from McPherson, Kansas.

Am so impressed with this practice. My provider is great. Staff seem very happy to work there (easy to spot when there are internal problems) and my nurse said she loves working with him. Fair enough. I really appreciate his kindness and willingness to explain my condition and any concerns or issues in my health with me. He does not talk down to me and is patient in putting up with me.

Dr Robertson made me feel seen, respected, and that he was genuinely concerned for my health. He empathized with me concerning the conditions that were most difficult for me-didn't prescribe any "magic" pills, but referred me to a medical team that could better address my issues. I would recommend him to anyone; he is what most people would like to have for a medical provider.

Doctor offices are not a good place to be, difficult health conditions and uncertain times make's visits hard. The staff here treated me either respect, kindness and compassion. The front office staff were great, helpful and showed concern for me. The nursing staff were professional and accommodating. The providers were amazing. Thats why I follo them to nortons. Excellent providers that make the visit a positive experience, the care they show for my well being in beyond amazing. Im not a number they treat me like a human being and encourage me and ease my fears and tell me straight answers with no run around.
