Dava Helton is extremely intelligent and can speak to all my questions in a professional, yet friendly way. She is such a well trained NP. I've not been treated by any other provider with her knowledge, that includes MDs.

I have a very hard time going to a doctor, so it's only been during times where I absolutely have to. I am supposed to get an annual check up, but fail to do so because I don't typically trust the medical field due to past personal experiences. However, this provider was incredible. She was very genuine about her concern for me and was extremely patient and polite and listened to everything I had to say. When she spoke about different options she was very thorough in explaining what they were for and how they would work and was gracious in allowing me to talk through what I thought would maybe work best for me based off my fear of medications and my dislike and discomfort of counseling therapy. With our conversation she discovered why I have a fear of medications - because the medications I have typically taken throughout my life that never fixed the problem but instead caused very undesirable, uncomfortable, almost painful and scary side effects all had something in common with each other. They all contained antihistamines. She concluded that my body responds very negatively to medications with that in it and she named a list of some and to my surprise each one she specifically named are the exact ones I have had the negative experiences with. She marked that down in my records and came up with a medication that should be safe and effective for me. I am so pleased with her taking the time to listen to me because she made a very important discovery by doing so and is probably a miracle worker with prescribing me exactly what I need. I just started the medication so I don't know yet, but I feel comfortable and safe taking it thanks to her.

Dava is worth the 2.5 hour drive I make to see her. She's the best and provides exceptional care. The phlebotomist was also literally the best I've ever had and I would have tipped her if I had cash on me - that's the best blood draw in the history of phlebotomy.
