Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Charles M. Pfister, M.D., is a surgeon with Norton Surgery Specialists – Louisville General Surgery. Dr. Pfister earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Pfister specializes in general surgery, including hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, colon surgery and more intricate procedures. He is skilled in open, laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
Dr. Pfister’s primary goal is to provide the highest level of care to his patients to facilitate a swift and complete recovery. He communicates with each patient to get a sense of the issues they are facing and detail his plan of care with them.
When outside work, Dr. Pfister stays active by golfing or running, or traveling and visiting new places.

This was my very first visit to Dr. Pfister and I was very nervous. He was so nice and kind to me that I felt safe. I came with one daughter and he let my other daughter was at work but he let her zoom call us so all three of us could hear what he was telling me about my test results.
