Bhagwan Bhimani, M.D.

Bhagwan Bhimani, MD is a board-certified Nephrologist and a founding member of the Bluegrass Kidney Consultants, PSC. Dr. Bhimani’s residency training was performed at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Upon completion, Dr Bhimani began practicing medicine in Georgia for approximately 7 years, before moving to Louisville, KY to begin his fellowship training in Nephrology at the University of Louisville. As a Nephrologist, Dr. Bhimani became an Assistant Professor at UofL, Kidney Disease Program, which contributed to his love of teaching about kidney disease even now. He then started his own Nephrology practice with his now partners in 2009. Dr. Bhimani is an expert in all aspects of Nephrology and in 2019 was voted by his peers as “Top Doc” in Nephrology in Louisville Magazine. When Dr Bhimani is not working, he enjoys reading, watching movies and playing golf.
