Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Annica Y. Sizemore, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner with Norton Community Medical Associates. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Galen College of Nursing in Louisville and her master’s degree in nursing from South College School of Nursing in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is board certified in family practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Annica provides preventive care for patients of all ages, from birth to later years, helping them live healthy and happy lives. She diagnoses and treats a range of health conditions, from acute illnesses to chronic diseases.
Annica’s patient care philosophy centers on treating patients with respect and addressing their needs and concerns. She emphasizes the importance of education in health care, believing that better outcomes are the result of better understanding. Her goal is to provide emotional support and continuity of care to help patients feel more confident and motivated to stay active in managing their health.
In her free time, Annica enjoys spending time with her family, including her daughter and son, and her furry “daughter,” Paris. She also enjoys reading, traveling, outdoor activities, cooking and listening to all types of music.

I am completely satisfied with the care I've received from my new physician Annica Sizemore, at Norton Hospital West. She is caring, attentive, and truly listened to me. As an African American woman, it means so much to have a female doctor I can relate to and who makes me feel heard and understood. Since becoming her patient, I feel better than I have in years. She takes her time, explains everything clearly, and shows genuine concern for my well-being. I would highly recommend her to my family and friends!
