Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Amy Beard, D.O., is an emergency medicine physician with Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Dr. Beard earned her medical degree from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Beard specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention. She cares for patients of all ages and is committed to treating each person with compassion and understanding. Recognizing that a visit to the emergency department can be one of the most stressful moments in a patient’s life, she takes time to listen, address concerns, and ensure each patient feels heard and cared for.
Outside of work, Dr. Beard enjoys running, trying new restaurants and walking her dogs.
