Biography/ Philosophy of Care
In addition to offering a full range of arm and hand services, Dr. Gupta has special interests in wrist and elbow surgery, post-trauma reconstruction of the hand and pediatric hand surgery.
Dr. Gupta’s mission is to provide top-quality, patient-centered care in the areas of hand surgery and complex elbow reconstruction. He is involved in research focused on developing cutting-edge technologies, including improved wrist implants and rehabilitation equipment for patients.
Away from the office Dr. Gupta enjoys going to plays and listening to music, particularly Indian percussion instruments, as well as doing research and writing. He also likes to travel and experience other cultures.
Dr. Gupta has been voted by his peers as one of Louisville Magazine’s Top Docs for 2019.

I have been to quite a number of physicians, both here and in Texas regarding the complicated and rare case with my hands, wrists and elbow. Dr. Gupta made me feel comfortable enough to agree to go ahead with the first surgery, assuring me that he could have both of my arms in working condition it was all over. I've never been able to use my left arm due to a birth defect, so although I am extremely nervous moving forward, I am confident with choosing him. I've always been a professional painter, even through the decades I've worked on camera in the television and film industry, which means I'm putting absolutely all of my faith in Dr. Gupta and his staff.

Doctor showed me on the x-ray where my wrist was fractured and how It had started to heal. Two other facilities, including an ED and hospital inpatient stay (not Norton) told me there was no fracture. I finally found out why the pain in my wrist continued 6 weeks after a fall caused the injury. Now wearing a wrist brace.

I showed up early for my appointment. My neighbor was getting a shot in his eye and I needed to pick him up. So I ask the check in person if they could get me in early. Five minutes later I was being seen by the doctor. My stress level was aleavedBy the whole staff . I made it back for him with time to spare, and I got the treatment I needed.

The Doctor is a hand surgeon. This was my last check up. From the first visit I liked Dr. Gupta. He was very good at explaining problems with my hand and the treatments he planned for me. He explained what he was doing and things I needed to do at home. He gave me plenty of time to ask questions. I would recommend him to any of my friends that need a hand surgeon.
