Due to my paternal family history (my grandmother and my uncle) of family passing due to heart related incidents before the age of 40, she informed me of my lipoprotein and likelihood of needing screening. Transparent that it was my choice, but she did recommend it especially because I have a history of high triglycerides (which is a sign.)
