Abby M Newsom, APRN

Abby M. Newsom, APRN, is a certified family nurse practitioner with Norton Cancer Institute. She earned bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville.

Abby specializes in medical oncology. She provides care for patients with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions, including those receiving advanced chemotherapy and participating in clinical trials. Guided by evidence-based practice and critical thinking, Abby provides compassionate, holistic care that supports patients physically, mentally and spiritually. She is dedicated to creating genuine connections with patients and their families, believing that kindness and empathy are powerful tools in healing. Abby is continually inspired by the resilience of her patients and considers it a privilege to support them through their journey.

Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, fitness, shopping and exploring local restaurants.
