Winifred A. Shouse, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner with Norton Community Medical Associates. Winnie is passionate about helping her patients reach their optimal health and wellness. Her goals are to create a health care environment built on trust and to provide her patients with the best care possible to meet their individual needs. Winnie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse-Midwives, American Nurses Association, Kentucky Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. A native of Louisville, Winnie enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog, watching football, traveling, singing at church and singing the national anthem at local sporting events.

I have had several PCP's throughout my life and Winnie is by far the most compassionate caring and attentive provider I have ever had. She actually listens to what I have to say and understands that I know my own body. I hope this is a long term relationship because I don't think there are many out there that show the level of caring she does.
