Kameron A. Shams, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Norton Orthopedic Institute. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, including advanced training at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Shams is dedicated to restoring function, mobility and quality of life for patients with conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. His approach focuses on individualized care plans designed to help patients recover faster and return to work, sports and daily activities. In addition to his clinical work, he has written scientific research articles, contributed to textbook chapters and presented research at national conferences. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Shams enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing and playing basketball.
