Chip Myers, Jr., APRN

John "Chip" E. Myers Jr., APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Heart & Vascular Institute. Chip earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, and his master’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights. Chip specializes in cardiac care, both surgical and non-surgical, working closely with cardiac surgeons to ensure the highest level of patient care.  

Chip believes that empowering patients to be educated about their health is a powerful tool. He enjoys sitting with patients and explaining medical matters in a way that makes sense to them, and he strives to understand his patients’ goals when they are discharged to empower them to reach those goals.

Outside of work, Chip enjoys golfing, hiking and lounging by the pool. He and his wife are always looking for new restaurants while embracing Louisville’s events, including the Kentucky Derby.
