Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Bridget L. Pitcock, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Infectious Diseases Specialists. Bridget earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, and her master’s degree in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds certifications as an HIV specialist and an HIV-certified registered nurse.
Bridget chose to specialize in infectious diseases due to the challenging nature, the opportunity to improve patient outcomes and the significant impact on public health. She trained and worked as a nurse practitioner in New York City at the first outpatient clinic to treat patients living with HIV, which ignited her passion for HIV care and prevention.
In her spare time, Bridget loves spending time outdoors mountain biking, running, cycling and camping, as well as traveling and enjoying time with friends, her spouse and their two dogs. She also is an avid fan of women’s basketball.
