Alison S. Sharpe, D.O., is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Norton Gastroenterology. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Bradenton, Florida. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and her fellowship in gastroenterology at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine, Johnson City.

Dr. Sharpe diagnoses and treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions affecting the digestive system, including disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver and pancreas. She has a special clinical interest in women’s health in gastroenterology. Dr. Sharpe believes every patient deserves to be treated with the same compassion, respect and attention she would want for her own family. She understands that even conditions that are not life-threatening can have a significant impact on quality of life.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, playing mahjong and exploring Louisville’s vibrant restaurant scene.
