Eric L. Xia, M.D. is an infectious diseases specialist with Norton Infectious Diseases Specialists. Dr. Xia earned his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in China. He completed his residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgepoint, Connecticut and infectious diseases training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He also holds a Ph.D. in virology and immunology from Penn State University, State College, Pennsylvania. He chose to pursue this field of medicine due to its diverse and challenging nature. Dr. Xia's ultimate goal is to alleviate the suffering of those under his care. In his spare time, Dr. Xia is an avid reader of nonfiction and is always looking to further his knowledge of the world. He loves to travel and explore different cultures.
